Many Nipple Shields are simply charms hanging fron standard size (14G) barbells of standard material (316L Steel) and standard length (5/8"). In some cases, depending on the design of the charm, these pieces can be swapped out for lower or higher gauge barbells, longer or shorter barbells, different size ends, differntly threaded barbells, and barbells made of different materials such as anodized titanium, titanium, solid yellow gold, solid white gold, gold plated, and more. Ball ends can also be upgraded or changed to pieces with jewels, or decorations. The description indicates if the piece is modifyable in any of these ways. The conversion parts are available at an additional cost and also sold singly so 2 would need to be purchased to convert a pair of shields.
